A growing list of associated links.
Some have been mentioned on the various pages of AmericanWebLog, others have been included because I found them to be helpful about topics seen on AmericanWebLog.
Arranged alphabetically and by no means comprehensive, the sites I've chosen seem to shine in their respective field.

Computing
Dell Computer - The best computers available, in my opinion, with customer and technical support that is legendary. A well designed website with online tracking of purchases and a wide variety of configurations available for home, home office, and small and large businesses.
Official U.S. Time - A public service of the National Institute of Standards and Technology (NIST), and its military counterpart, the U.S. Naval Observatory (USNO). A great site for setting the exact time on your computers and clocks, traveling or not.
German Shepherds & Other Pet Info
German Shepherd Message Forum - An interesting message board about German Shepherds with good information on health issues, feeding, etc. in a question & answer format.
VetInfo.com - A comprehensive site which includes wonderful forums about dogs and cats, as well as other veterinary topics such as behavior, choosing a pet, etc. Although one must subscribe to post questions, all questions and answers are available for viewing by the general public. Highly recommended.
Traveling With Pet Articles - Part of an RV advice site, this page has links to several worthwhile articles about traveling with pets, especially canine. Article titles include My Pet is Missing!, Going from A to Z with Your Pet, and How to Make Pets Welcome at Campgrounds. A form is provided for asking direct questions of author Barbara Foley.
Gold Leaf, Hand Lettering, & Signpainting
Fire Gold - Website belonging to my friend Peter Achorn; one of the best gold-leaf and lettering artists I know. He now specializes in gorgeous fire engine restoration using old-time methods. An amazing artist, and well worth contacting if you are restoring a fire engine.
The Original Letterheads Web Site - A great bunch of "Brothers & Sisters of the Brush" dedicated to exchanging information about lettering, gold leaf work, and making signs. National Letterhead Meets, chapters coast to coast, and tons of great information and links.
RV'ing
RVers Guide to Special Eateries - A geographically arranged list of reader recommended cafes and restaurants which have "a combination of great food, interesting decor, reasonable prices, and a friendly atmosphere". Aimed at RVers who may need a convenient place to park their rig nearby.
Town USA Chambers of Commerce - A growing list of Chambers of Commerce organized by state. Good places to stop to find out what's what in a given area.
Travel Journals
Hitch Itch - The site to follow RV'ers travel adventures and journals. Hitch Itch's stated mission is "To be the best site to find RV Travel Journals. To keep it simple, and do one thing well." A great site offering a fine list of online travel journals written by RV'ers, many of whom are full-timers.
Mark's Fulltime RV Adventure - An in-depth site full of great information for RV'ers and fulltimers on everything from electrical and plumbing systems to living on the road.
Van Miscellaneous
Homebrewed Camper Van Webring - A small but growing webring for sites about homemade camper vans. Just not many homemade van sites out there, believe me; I've looked. Hopefully this webring will help start an online community of homemade camper van enthusiasts.

Writing & Poetry
The Atlantic online - The digital edition of the well known, and venerated, magazine. The best website for general reading of a magazine nature, far as I am concerned. Never fails to have great fiction & poetry, cartoons, articles, and essays, and includes daily news briefs the magazine does not. Well worth getting to know if you want to be a writer. Many writers began their publishing careers within the pages of The Atlantic.
Poetry Daily - Without a doubt my favorite poetry site. They do one thing and they do it well; a new poem daily, with background and publication information. One can often glean great information about potential places to submit work by checking out the titles of publications on this long-running site.
